how to tune violin strings
In previous post I have explained how to tune standard tuning on violin. It is GDAE सा प सा प ( as per G scale) or म सा प रें ( as per D scale) from thick string to thin string. You can use electronic tuner to set the strings on right note. Now a days many type of electronic tuners are available. You should purchase a tuner which can tune all the instruments or having seven notes tuning capacity and all sharps also.
In north India a second type of tuning is also in use. It is GDGD. In hindi it is सा प सा प (as per G scale)or म सा म सां (as per D scale)
In north India an other type of tuning is also in use. It is DADA. In hindi it is सा प सा प (as per D scale) or म सा म सां (as per A scale)
And as per south Indian tuning EGEG is also set from thick string to thin string. In hindi it is सा प सा प (as per E scale).
Some set their violin as GCGC सा म सा म(as per G scale) or प सा प सा (as per C scale) from thick to thin string
